– In their August report, IGC analysts raised their forecast for the 2022/23 world wheat production to 778 million tons (770.2 in the previous estimate and 781 in 2021/22). Australia’s wheat production will be 31 million tons (30.6 and 36.3). Wheat production will reach 33 million tons in Canada (32.4 and 21.7), 13.7 million tons in Kazakhstan (13.2 and 11.8), 87.6 million tons in Russia (85.2 and 75), 48.5 million tons in the United States (48 and 44.8) and 138 million tons in China (135 and 136.9). The world export of wheat will be 192.8 million tons (193.9 and 196.7), including 13 million tons from Argentina (14 and 15.5), 24.2 million tons from Australia (24.7 and 26.5), 37.4 million tons from the EU (39.4 and 31.9), 36.6 million tons from Russia (37.6 and 33.1), 8.3 million tons from Kazakhstan ( 7.8 and 8.2), 13 million tons from Ukraine (10 and 18.9) and 22.3 million tons from the US (22 and 22.1). The world’s ending wheat stocks in 2022/23 are projected to reach 274.9 million tons (272.2 and 279.6), including 4.7 million tons in Canada (4.3 and 3.7), 17.3 million tons in Russia (14.6 and 11.3), 16.7 million tons in the US (16.5 and 18), 137.5 million tons in China (135.5 and 133.3), 5.9 million tons in Ukraine ( 8.2 and 7.2), 15.2 million tons in India (17.2 and 19.5), 11.4 million tons in the EU (11.7 and 17) and 4.7 million tons in Canada (4.3 and 3.7).
