The Government of India states that the country’s wheat stocks are sufficient to meet domestic demand and imports will not be necessary.

– Over the first three weeks of August, 854,000 tons of grain were exported from the Russian port of Novorossiysk, including 638,000 tons of wheat, 15,000 tons of barley and 15,000 tons of peas. A year earlier, the export was 1,034 million tons, including 916,000 tons of wheat and 119,000 tons of barley.

– As of August 19, 2022, 23.4 million tons of grain (+2.6 for the week) were harvested in Ukraine from 6.1 million hectares (55% against 49% a week earlier). 17.4 million tons of wheat, 5.3 million tons of barley, 243,700 tons of peas were harvested. 3.1 million tons of winter rapeseed were harvested from 1.08 million hectares.
